Obama likes him, and now French star Omar Sy is getting ready to be a hit with all the U.S.

IF PRESIDENT OBAMA’S interest in “The Intouchables” is any indicator, Omar Sy has a heady year ahead of him. A source close to the situation tells us the President and the First Lady have requested a print of what is the most successful French movie of all time for a screening at the White House or Camp David. Sy’s performance as a black Muslim ex-con who becomes the unlikely friend of a quadriplegic billionaire is already being touted as Oscar-worthy. We now hear he’s moving to Los Angeles for six months in August so that the Weinstein Co., which released the film here, can prepare him for an awards-season closeup. (In February, Sy became the first black actor to win France’s Oscar equivalent, the César Award.) We also hear “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig, who is helming a remake of the picture, is working to get some of the comic actresses who made that film a smash to appear in it.
JUSTIN BIEBER closed out Justin Bieber Appreciation Day in New York — did you miss it? — with a private dinner party on Tuesday night. The pint-size pop star was in town for the release of his new album, “Believe,” and after a day filled with promotional appearances (and hair primping) made his way to lower East Side hot spot Sons of Essex for a “super- private” party, according to a guest. About 75 people, including friends, family and music executives, were on hand for the event that was “kept under wraps” by the 18-year-old’s handlers. The source says Bieber manager, Scooter Braun, presented his most famous client with a cake that depicted the cover of the phenom’s new album. On Monday, Bieber gave Braun a cake for the manager’s birthday — by launching it at his face.
CHRIS HEMSWORTH isn’t letting daddy duty slow him down. The middle member of Australia’s hunky Hemsworth trio and his older bro, Luke, attended the after-party for “Snow White and the Huntsman” in Sydney on Tuesday night — and partied until 2:30 a.m.
Chris, who plays the ax-wielding hottie of the title, became a father last month when his actress wife, Elsa Pataky, gave birth to their daughter, India. But he left his Baby Bjorn at home when he checked out the Marquee — The Star club around 11 p.m., and partook of liquids from bottles that did not resemble those he might use to feed his baby girl.
